Xandra

I had a great introductory lesson! Xandra is perfect for anyone tired of strict teachers and rigid curriculums. She creates a welcoming environment and provides excellent feedback. We had an easy and free-flowing conversation about various topics. She explained grammatical concepts and things about Swiss culture in a kind and patient manner. Anyone would benefit from a lesson with Xandra, from complete beginners to more advanced students. I'm excited for my next class.

Xandra allows me to practice French conversation that doesn't feel like teaching or babying. She patiently listens and helps out so we can have intelligent, thought provoking conversations despite my super rusty French. I would never have thought to have conversations on this level despite barely speaking any French for the past decade! Xandra's cosmopolitan attitude and ways of thinking are a breath of fresh air, compared to the "France is superior" attitude common in the world of teaching French. If you are thinking you need a French teacher from France, think twice :)

I’ve been learning French with Xandra from day one, and she is amazing! She always makes me feel confident, no matter how much I struggle with the language. She is so encouraging and gives great tips on how to improve. A huge plus is that she speaks Tagalog, which really helped me understand certain French words more clearly. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for a supportive and skilled tutor!

Zandra is an amazing tutor. She helps me practice my french conversationally and is completely non-judgmental. I am always nervous about speaking French as I am not too great yet, but after the first few minutes I was no longer nervous. Lessons are laid back and it's very easy to talk to her. She is very patient and speaks to you as if speaking with a native, explaining the parts you do not understand. She is flexible and fun. I couldn't recommend her enough!

Xandra is the best 1-on-1 teacher who is happy to use the teaching methods that work best for the student. Her style of encouraging you to speak, explaining what you want to learn, and trying to recall previous knowledge is so great. I find myself retaining information even when I don't take notes.
