Hi! I’m Mikaela, a native Greek speaker from Cyprus. I teach both standard Greek and Cypriot Greek, so you can learn not only the language but also how people actually speak in real life.I have over 8 years of teaching experience, a degree in English with a specialization in translation, and a certification in teaching Greek as a second language. I also work as an oral examiner, which helps me guide students to speak clearly and confidently.I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and helping them feel comfortable using Greek in everyday situations.As a teacher, I focus on creating a supportive and comfortable environment where you feel confident to speak. I work with students from different backgrounds and levels, and I always adapt my approach depending on your needs and learning style. Because of my experience as an oral examiner, I pay special attention to pronunciation, fluency, and helping you express yourself naturally. My lessons are focused on communication and real-life use of the language. We work a lot on speaking from the beginning, with guided practice to help you build confidence step by step. I use a variety of materials depending on your goals, including vocabulary flashcards (Anki), speaking exercises, listening practice, and occasional short tests. If needed, we can also use a book, but lessons are always flexible and adapted to you.
