Stone Yan - 颜士东

My journey with Stone has been a pleasure. He's willing to help correct essays and offer help both in and out of class--it's clear that he's invested in your entire learning experience, not just your in-lesson experience. He's good-natured and supportive, and will often refer back to things we've previously learned to help cement concepts. I'd recommend trying him out!

Stone is SO much fun. I always am laughing and learning at the same time. He sent me a document to keep record of simple phrases. He keeps me on track when I wander into a different topic, is very patient when I don't understand, tells me not to worry, and explains new words while telling stories. I highly recommend his class! I learned video game terms, really fun!

Stone is an outstanding teacher. He is always on time, well-prepared, patient, engaging, and funny. The more lessons we have, the more I enjoy our conversations. He has a real talent for speaking Chinese to your level, which has really helped me build up my confidence in expressing myself.

I learned daily phrases about social activities, very useful!

I learned how to read a dessert menu, an iced coffee label, and the Luckin' Coffee app interface, so fun!
