I have been teaching Mandarin and English since 2016 to students of all ages and from many different countries. I believe learning a second language is both exciting and rewarding — it opens the door to meeting people from diverse backgrounds and discovering new cultures through meaningful conversations.
My passion for teaching comes from this joy of connection and cultural exchange. In my lessons, I focus not only on everyday communication but also on business language and exam preparation. I aim to be both your teacher and your learning companion — helping you improve your skills while exploring the richness of the Chinese language, traditions, and culture. In my classes, students can learn Mandarin from beginner to advanced levels, developing their language skills at a comfortable and steady pace. Many of my students find Chinese tones challenging, especially if their native language doesn’t use them, but my clear and neutral accent makes pronunciation easier to follow and understand.
I’m always happy to help you improve your pronunciation, speaking, listening, and reading skills. During our lessons, I provide regular feedback and corrections — either throughout our conversations or at the end of each class.

I've had IELTS speaking lessons with Joyce for about 6 months, and recently I got an ideal score of 7 in my speaking test. I really improve a lot. When I just started to have classes with Joyce, I lacked confidence to speak English. However, Joyce was very patient and always encouraged me. Joyce is very good at teaching IELTS speaking, she fully understands the pattern of IELTS test. Joyce also has many techniques in answering IELTS speaking questions. Furthermore, the mock tests she did during the classes were very useful！
