Hi! I'm Kelly and I've been teaching English to Spanish and Portuguese speakers since 2008. I fell in love with learning Spanish when I was in school and now I truly enjoy being a part of my students' English learning journey. I'm from a small town in New Jersey and when I'm not teaching my amazing students, I like to play the guitar, read, go hiking and spend time with friends and family.Moi en tant que professeur
I like to tell my students that you should know the rules before you break them. I believe that learning grammar opens doors that allow you to express yourself, which can be very empowering! I also believe that learning grammar doesn't have to be painful. I like to use different materials and exercises in my classes so that my students have a lot of opportunities to practice. Although I think that learning grammar is very important, the most enjoyable part of my classes, for me personally, is getting to know my students during our conversation practice.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
My grammar based classes are structured around a popular textbook series. Although each class is personalized for each student, they typically include a warm up conversation, a grammar lesson, practice using the grammar topic of the class and a quick look forward to our next class. Besides the textbook, I like to use my own materials, which include pictures, exercises and text documents that I have prepared. If the student is interested, I offer the service of recording the class and sending the student timestamps of where they made mistakes so that they can learn to identify and correct their own mistakes.
My conversation classes are completely open or planned with the help of the student.5.0

Great lesson with Kelly. She was very supportive and helped me to improve my oral and writing skills with several tips.
She was also well prepared for the class with a list of questions in order to practice a regular conversation in an office, anything that I had requested her before the lesson.
I highly recommend her classes!
