Zhang

Zhang is a great teacher! She has a very good ability to explain the meanings of words to you, and she can tell you interesting stories about life in China and Chinese culture. She is always very friendly, patient, and funny.

Zhang laoshi is the single most valuable source of my Chinese learning. She is knowledgeable about the nuances of every word and can answer questions about connotation and usage, as well as give me more natural-sounding alternatives to things that I know.

Zhang was great to have class with! She was great about determining my level right away, so conversing was really comfortable, while still giving me a change to learn new vocabulary. I appreciate that she was not only a good conversationalist, but also gave insight into Chinese culture as well.
