Ken

Highly recommended! Ken is simply fantastic. He has a natural gift for teaching and can explain what appear to be the most complex things in memorable and easy-to-digest gems. Before, I was even not able to converse with English speakers, while, after learning with Ken, guess what, I’m giving lectures in English!!! Classes with Ken have been so worthwhile!!!

Ken has been an absolutely incredible teacher all the way from minute 1. This is a great example for “Functional Japanese”. He knows how people speak Japanese, great ways to practice, as well as making it enjoyable. Learning from Ken is not a chore. If you are attempting to learn Japanese I HIGHLY recommend Ken. Fun, efficient and rewarding.

Ken Sensei teaches by using examples and gently guiding me to find the answer myself. He gives helpful hints, remembers his students, and truly cares about people. I believe he is one of the most genuine and trustworthy people I’ve ever met. I feel lucky to be his student. けんせいんせいのレッスンはたのしいです。せんせいはしんせつで、がくせいをたいせつにします。

Ken has been a very patient teacher for over a year and half now. He has challenged me to take the JLPT and is always very encouraging. By far, he is the best Italki teacher I've had!

We've been reading through stories a lot lately in our lessons and I've found that really fun and exciting. It's encouraging to read a story in Japanese and learn vocabulary in context that way.
