I appreciate that Chinese and English are very different. For example, Chinese uses specific tones for each word. And some people find them difficult to master. I completely understand this difficulty and will be patient in helping you to make progress.
I also appreciate that memory can be a big problem in learning a new language. But don't worry! I feel that striving is more important than being perfect. I myself have been learning English since primary school, and it has been more than ten years now. I know very well how hard it is to learn a new language. No one knows their own needs better than themselves. I will encourage you to tell me about your goals and learning styles, and I will adapt our lessons accordingly. I can write any corrections you need in Pinyin and Chinese characters. Before class, you can send me the materials you want to work on in class, or if you are not sure what to study, I can give you some recommendations. For example, I can send you PDFs of textbooks that will be suitable for you.

i’ve been learning with xin ran for about 9 months now. every lesson i feel like i’ve improved my mandarin more and more. xin ran is a very kind, helpful, and understanding teacher. i always feel very comfortable learning with her. she teaches well, she answers any questions i may have and makes things easy to understand for me. i’d 100% recommend her :)
