I’m a certified English teacher from Vienna, Austria, currently enrolled at the University of Vienna where I am doing my PhD in Roman Languages and Literature. Apart from German, which is my native language, I also speak English fluently. Due to my studies I am able to speak Portuguese to an advanced level as well as basic Spanish and French.
I love to meet and talk to new people, learning about different countries and cultures. In my free time I like to be out in nature, travel, cook, learn new skills or just relax at home.

I am all too aware of how daunting it can be to learn a new language as a student. That's why it's important that you feel comfortable to ask me questions and so I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere in which you don’t have to worry about making mistakes.

My lessons are focused on conversational practise. Because the needs of every student vary, I aim to design my lessons around you as an individual. We can either speak about specific topics or have an informal chat without previous preparation.
Depending on your level and interest I am happy to provide necessary material (such as videos, newspaper articles, grammar explanations or exercises) to help you make the most of our lessons.

Sofie lives up to her claims! She made the lesson very comfortable and was very encouraging and realistic. She is fluent and used to helping those like me who are not fluent. Choix du professeur
Sophie hat heute meinen (ganz langen) Aufsatz korrigiert. Sie hat nicht nur die Fehler korrigiert, sondern auch viele Hinweise dazu gegeben, was ich verbessern soll, damit ich besser schreiben kann. Sie war sehr hilfreich und hat alles schnell gemacht! Die Kommunikation mit Ihr war klar und freundlich. Ich kann Sie gern empfehlen!
