I've been studying Mandarin Chinese at the beginner from Maggie for a few months now, and I like the approach she takes. She gives instruction just in Chinese as much as possible, using objects around us and word sheets she's made as chances to introduce vocabulary. She's also willing to explain usage patterns (e.g. grammar, word choice), again in Chinese as much as possible with written examples. Today I managed to describe my weekend to her in Chinese. It took some back and forth, but she used every difficulty as a chance to teach something new.

Tran Mai Chi is a great Chinese tutor. I've been taking classes with her for a while now and she's always cheerful and helpful. She teaches me real life Chinese words/expressions, write down the complicated words and give me room to express myself with confidence.

I don’t even know how to make a sentence in Chinese but she was trying to talk with me USING Chinese. I could even memorize some sentences after talking with her. I think this method will be very helpful if I study myself before the class. I will definitely choose her again after I learn some words.

Mai Chi is a great teacher. It was very helpful being able to learn Vietnamese while speaking Mandarin and Mai Chi helped me to learn some Vietnamese that I would actually be able to put into practice in daily life.

Chan-Laoshi helped me correct academic articles. Her observations were not only about grammar, but also about paying attention to the natural way of typing in Chinese, as well as suggestions on terms and expressions. I am really satisfied and happy with the improvement.
