I’ve had many Chinese tutors in the past, both in college and on this website. Vicky is by far the best teacher I’ve had for Chinese. She’s extremely kind, patient, funny, and prepared. She explains all my questions clearly and thoroughly. At the end of class she also provides files about the lesson, which includes a summary of what we learned, any new words that she taught me that aren’t in the textbook, as well as any homework or previewing you should do before the next class. Usually with other tutors, I get bombarded with way too many new words that I had a hard time remembering. But doesn’t do that. She also checks my tones! Simply put, I plan on studying with her for a long, long time! <3

Vicky is a good teacher. She comes prepared to our lessons. I appreciate this. She also sees the need for some time spent on free talk (not following the text of the lesson, but interacting with the student in a more spontaneous way). I value this. I would recommend her and iTalki to other colleagues of mine in the United States who are trying to learn to speak Mandarin.

Vicky was an enthusiastic teacher. She was patient and encouraging. She covered quite a lot in our 30 minute trail lesson! I will definitely book her again.

Today's lesson was fantastic and that fact she prepared a whiteboard of things to start off with and then went into the text book was lovely, sending notes after class of things to go over is very helpful with remembering. A very good teacher indeed and very deserving of your time if you are wanting to learn this language.

Vicky is really amazing with my daughters, I can tell they like her already and are engage in the lesson.
