Hi everyone! I’m Anna, a native Italian teacher with over 10 years of experience helping students of all levels speak authentic, natural and confident Italian.
I’m bilingual in Italian and English, and I hold a five-year degree in English Language and Literature as well as an ITALS Master’s degree (completed with top marks). I’m also specialised in neurolinguistics and psycholinguistics, which allows me to create learning paths that truly match the way the brain acquires languages.
I’m also the host of the podcast “Una Storia ItaliAnna”, available on Spotify, iTunes and YouTube. If you’d like transcripts or extra study materials, you can find them on my Buy Me a Coffee page.
I love travelling and have lived in London and Liverpool. I also speak Spanish, so I understand very well the challenges of learning a new language.
My teaching style combines method, creativity and personalisation. I design my lessons using:

Anna is a great teacher. She is patient and encouraging with my fumbling attempts a language production. She speaks (95% of the time in Italian) at a level that is easily comprehensible to me. She has an excellent sense of humor. Explains things well. This is our third lesson, and I feel I'm beginning to make some progress --- especially with comprehension (my primary goal), and I feel my speaking is improving gradually.

I'd booked a lesson with Anna based on the strength of her excellent podcast (Una Storia ItaliAnna), and I have to say, she was even more personable, knowledgable, motivating and all-around delightful than I expected. (And that's saying a lot!) Those of you who are combing through the reviews, trying to choose an instructor, I unequivocally recommend Anna. I can't say enough good things.
