Hi, my name is Andy, and I have been teaching languages since 2001. I have worked in different countries with students from different nationalities, that's why I love learning languages to be able to help and understand better my students. I have taught students of all levels but I have to confess that I enjoy teaching beginners and see their progress until they're able to communicate well. I also learn languages, so I know that what a student wants is to be able to speak and understand, that's why my lessons are based on conversation. From the very first class you will be speaking and l'll be giving you the instructions in the language you're learning.

I also understand that there are some students that prefer to receive some explanation in their own languages, so that´s why I speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, German and I´m doing my best to improve rapidly my French. After French I will keep learning some other languages to be able to help even more students around the world. Besides focusing on speaking I also prefer teaching in an organized way, that means by levels. So during our first class I check your level and I get informed about what you are looking for. And from there we plan what we´ll learn and how our classes will be organized, so you´ll always know during the months, in what level you are.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
*ATTENDANCE POLICY*
You may reschedule a class through iTalki with at least 24 hrs in advance, preferably 48hrs so another student can have the chance of requesting a class in that time slot. The following scenarios will lead to iTalki credits being transferred to the teacher:

- A request to reschedule the class with less than 24 hrs notice

After six months of studying with Andy I can see how much my English has improved. The classes are extremely organized, the material used is excellent. Andy manages to teach how to write, to speak and to listen are very well. He is punctual, patient and develops the means so we can understand everything during the lesson. If you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced and want to improve your English, do not hesitate, Andy is the ideal teacher.

Fantastic, it's been a few months since starting with Andy. I can now communicate in a good enough level of spanish to be understood (more or less) and watch some videos on YouTube (which would have been incomprehensible at the start of this year) and get the gist of what is being said. Learning a language is a messy process for your brain but it's something that I've been enjoying - especially with Andy as he has an excellent cadence to his lessons, he knows exactly when to stay and chat and when to move the focus back onto class materials. I can whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone (Spanish or English) no matter your level with the language.
