Thank you so much for looking at my italki profile. My name is Lana and I am a qualified primary school teacher from the UK with experience teaching all primary subjects including English and mathematics. I have worked in mainstream UK schools, a highly-regarded independent/preparatory school in London and an international school in Hong Kong. I am also a qualified English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Tutor and have taught adults and children at language schools in the UK, Japan and Hong Kong. I have been teaching online for the past 6 years. Let’s work together to achieve your language goals!

I value each of my students as individuals and aim to make my classes as inclusive and enjoyable as possible. I believe the best learning takes place when we are having fun! I first made the move to online teaching with italki when I was expecting my son in 2017. Teaching online has allowed me to have the freedom and flexibility to continue the job that I love whilst balancing this with family life. 👪 I have taught over 100 incredible students and completed over 1600 lessons on the italki platform. Some of my wonderful students have been with me since the beginning and I have felt truly honoured to see them grow up and significantly improve their English over the past 6 years.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

📣 ** I teach during English school term-time. This means that I do not teach during English school holidays such as for 2 weeks over Easter, 2 weeks over Christmas and the month of August. ** Most of my students start with a trial lesson, we can get to know a bit about each other and decide if I am the right tutor for yourself/your child. Please send me a message before the trial lesson so that I can plan the best lesson possible for you. I have 14 years teaching experience in total including: 2 years working in UK primary schools. 6 years teaching online. 2 years working as an English Teacher in an international Hong Kong School. 4 years EFL, including 1 year working in Japan.

In my first lesson with Lana, she maximized time and we did so many different things. Besides the introduction, we talked about different topics, phrasal verbs, and many more! She kindly answered all my questions and solved my doubts. She is a terrific option to boost your English (and her accent is lovely).

Lessons with Lana are always pleasure. We have work together since over 3 years now. Looking back, I think I have matured a lot at my english. I feel now more self confident, I can easly watch films in english (with subtitles 😃) and event started to read some books. Last lesson was as always great!
