My name is Laima.
I am a native Romanian speaker from the Republic of Moldova and also speak Russian as my mother tongue. I have a Licence in Philology of Modern and Classical Languages. I have been working for 12 years as an English and French teacher in a state lyceum with forms from 1st-12th (6-17 year-old students) and also teach Romanian and Russian as second languages to foreign volunteers. I taught a course of English to the Administration Staff of the Local Business Incubator, Town of Leova. I give private off- and on-line lessons to students of different ages and levels.

I love my job.
My aim is to make my students enjoy learning the language and feel free and confident when using it. Each student is a personality that’s why I have an individual aproach based on their interests and needs, and I try to find the most efficient methods and make classes funny and relaxed. My lessons are based on the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
I am ready to help You, my Student, with anything you need.
I am passionate about playing the violin, watching National Geographic, playing chess and other intellectual games. I also spend a lot of time studying professional articles and books and I enjoy creating my own teaching materials for classes.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
The process of teaching-learning a language is like a ”cuisine” and how good it is depends on the chef...
During our lessons I will teach you how ”to prepare different dishes” (this is how to communicate in different situations so that you and the other participants can feel good and comfortable). We will use various ingredients and spices, such as grammar rules and vocabulary, pronunciation and intonation, and I will provide you with the necessary ”kitchen tools”- the necessary techniques to help you with all that work.

You have presented quite complex topics in a simple and approachable way, and I find your materials, including the exercises, extremely helpful and by far the best and most comprehensive explanations of the plural definite article I have seen!

I have been learning Romanian with Laima for several months.
My speaking ability has improved a lot over that time along with a better understanding of Romanian as spoken in the Republic of Moldova. She is a very knowledgeable, patient and attentive teacher.
