I really enjoyed my trial lesson with Etsuko-san! She was enthusiastic, and asked great questions to provide specific sentences and phrases to study. I'm looking forward to future lessons!

The lesson was a mix of conversation and reading an article. Etsuko was patient and helpful, repeated anything I didn’t understand, and answered all of my questions. She also followed up the lesson by sending me some examples of an expression I was unfamiliar with.

Today was one of those days when you struggle a lot with the language. I messed up a lot of vocabulary and got stuck regularly. However, it is at times like these that Etsuko sensei's patience and encouragement shine because, even though I was having a hard time expressing myself in Japanese, she guided me through each sentence and helped me sort out my ideas to be able to communicate with her. Because of this, I could finish the exercises with her help and learned a lot. 今日は本当にありがとうございました。

My first lesson with Etsuko-sensei exceeded my expectations. Prior to our first lesson, we discussed my motivations, overall goals, and grammar areas where I really wanted to improve over the message board both in Japanese and English. Her messages were thorough with a very fast response time! During the lesson, Etsuko-sensei was incredibly supportive, patient and kind, and she immediately included the material content I requested. I just booked a lesson package with her, and can’t wait to see my improvement overtime with this awesome teacher!

Etsuko san was extremely patient and helpful during my lesson. We discussed a lot of travel related phrases and vocabulary. She made the lesson relaxed and casual while providing valuable feedback. I really enjoyed my lesson, and I look forward to the next one.

Etsuko-sensei is very encouraging which makes it easy to gain confidence to speak. I personally liked the calm rhythm she has, it made me relax and focus on the class. She's an excellent Japanese teacher. I look forward to the next session.
