PLEASE NOTE. I do not teach students under the age of 16. I lecture and tutor at an important UK University and have specialist knowledge of IELTS and other Cambridge exams.
I have been travelling the world since I left university with a Ph.D. in 1988 and currently have visited 53 different countries and lived in six. I have an incredible passion for adventure and communication even at 64 years old. After a successful business career in Europe and Asia, I returned to London to semi-retire and concentrate on Academia and tutoring.Moi en tant que professeur
After reading English and Journalism at University I decided to teach as a way of discovering the world. It became my lifetime career. Most teachers have little understanding of their students' cultures, languages, and needs and tend to teach all in a standard method. I know a Chinese or Korean student has vastly different goals to a Peruvian student so I tailor make my courses to focus on the end goal. I am a teacher, but that does not mean business success and rewards are unimportant. I have run successful businesses in Europe and the Far East working for world-famous multi-national companies specializing in Marketing, Career Development, HR, CRM, and E.commerce.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
There is no such thing as a normal or standard student. Everyone has their own needs and pace. After 30 years I have yet to find a textbook that can be followed page by page, exercise by exercise. Each course is designed specifically for the student or company using resources from life, put together to form a journey of learning English with the arrival point of a precise goal or objective, be it band score 7 in IELTS or presentation and meeting skills. I had another great English lesson with Mr. Lloyd. I love the way he structures his lessons by combining the teaching of new grammar rules with engaging discussions about business and personal life. It’s a perfect balance that makes learning both effective and enjoyable.
