I am from Cornwall in England and I am a native speaker of British English with an excellent grasp of spoken and written English and knowledge of all aspects of British life and culture. I have studied languages and understand the difficulties you’ll face learning English as a foreign language so I am patient, friendly and encouraging. I want you to feel that you can ask me anything about English in our classes together. I decided to start teaching because I enjoy meeting new people and learning more about different cultures and lifestyles. My lessons are tailored to suit my students. The main aim is to have you speaking as much as possible because that’s the best way to learn.

Moi en tant que professeur

I have worked for many years in the National Health Service and also for many years in Local Government. I can therefore help with you with business English, interview practice, job applications, presentations, as well as helping you with your fluency, pronunciation and vocabulary. We can practice English together as it is spoken informally in every-day life or as it needs to be spoken in business or formal situations. I have the following skills which can help you with your spoken and written English development: • Business English • Recruitment, CV’s, interviews, job application forms • Teaching written and presentation skills • Excellent pronunciation, clear and slow speaking

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

I offer classes to students with a minimum of B1 level, in conversation and fluency practice for listening and speaking skills (relaxed conversation about any subject leading to fewer ‘’ums’’ and ‘’errs’’), pronunciation and intonation, grammar, help with exam guidance and preparation, job interview preparation, business English, written English, formal or informal texts (we can work through any material you are working on). Cancellation/Reschedule policy: My policy reflects the Italki restriction - unless I receive 24 hours notice, I will need to charge for the class. Late for class - I will only wait 10 mins on line for an hour lesson, 5 mins on line for a 45 or 30 minute lesson.
