Hi, I’m Dameon (Day). I’m a former IELTS examiner with over 15 years’ experience helping students improve their English and achieve higher band scores. I’ve worked with learners from many backgrounds, from university students to working professionals, and I specialise in IELTS preparation, conversation fluency, and clear, practical feedback. My approach is calm, supportive, and focused on real progress rather than memorised answers. As a teacher, I’m patient, organised, and very clear in my explanations. I focus on helping students understand why something works, not just what to say. As a former IELTS examiner, I give honest, practical feedback and realistic band guidance, while keeping lessons relaxed and encouraging. I adapt my teaching to each student’s goals, level, and learning style, and I aim to create a comfortable space where students can speak freely, ask questions, and make steady progress without pressure or confusion. Dameon was helping me to prepare for IELTS and this was the best learning experience I ever had. We both worked hard to improve my Speaking and Writing skills, and I’ve got many useful insights on how to tackle Listening and Reading sections. As the result, after ~20 lessons I increased my band score by 1.5 in each section. I’ve got 7.5 overall band score on my IELTS, although I targeted 6.5 (and in my previous test I got only 6). I would highly recommend Dameon to anyone, even if not for IELTS preparation because of how capable he is as a teacher.

Dameon is an amazing English teacher, I had 20 classes with him to improve my IELTS speaking, and I definitely can say he is the best teacher I've known. He has experience in the topic, he helps with the answers giving you tons of examples. He is also a nice and outgoing guy, he is really friendly and make the classes a piece of cake !!!

Dameon is a responsible, responsive, and highly helpful teacher. He consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and is very encouraging, which makes learning both enjoyable and motivating. He is also patient, and explains concepts clearly and effectively. In addition , he creates a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and improve.
