Dear language learners,
I'm Peter from Germany, language enthusiast with a love for making music, literature and hiking. I'm originally from Leipzig in Germany, but currently residing in Porto, Portugal.
With many years of teaching experience, and having lived in Mexico, Spain, France and Portugal, I can relate to the challenges that come with learning a new language and adapt my classes to your individual situation, goals and needs.

Having a background in linguistics as well as a CELTA teaching certificate, my method helps my students to develop their language skills for real-life situations, along with a solid understanding of grammatical structures. I've taught in various schools in Germany, Mexico and online, teaching all levels from absolute beginners to near-natives and from children to adults. Thorough lesson planning and evaluation are equally important for a good lesson as spontaneity and fun. Communicative abilities are a top priority in my classes. I give you lots of speaking practice and immediately engage you with dynamic exercises whenever we introduce new material. At the same time, we develop your understanding of grammatical structures and give you plenty of authentic language input. I include many different resources and topics to make my classes fun and engaging for you. I really enjoyed my lesson with Peter. I hadn't had a full conversation in German for a while, and was a bit unsure what my level of German would be. He quickly put me at my ease and I found the interactions easy to understand with moments that required me to think - the perfect combination.
I really enjoyed the tasks he gave. We discussed some interesting artwork that had several layers to it, and that allowed me to describe the images, but also to use my brain to discuss the meaning of the images.
I thought the whole lesson was well put together, and Peter was a great teacher.

I really enjoy my lessons with Peter! He takes his work seriously and pushes me to speak more and encourages me to use correct grammar, which is exactly what I need! The lessons are a nice mix of small talk and grammar review and he offers quality learning materials. He's extremely organized in his structure and guides the lessons well, every moment is well spent.

All the lessons with Peter are adorable. I started literally from scratch and after my 6-th lesson I can see a huge progress. Really impressed by our pace and structured lessons!

Peter is a very experienced, knowledgeable and patient teacher. He comes prepared with excellent structured lessons and an effective method to keep all lessons materials organized; that notwithstanding, I really appreciate that he is always willing to adapt to my personalized learning needs/methods and make the most of each lessons trough whatever means suit the occasion!
Finally, his positive attitude means that I've been more motivated to progress with my German in the few weeks that I've been studying with Peter than in the several prior months of disparate language learning attempts.
I would recommend Peter without hesitation to any friend that wants to learn German!
