Hello! I’m a journalist-turned-cookbook author with a passion for languages, food, and storytelling. As a former university professor and polyglot (I speak 5 languages!), I love helping students *use* English in real-life contexts—whether debating current events, dissecting travel stories, or geeking out over global cuisine.
My career has taken me from newsrooms to kitchens, and from the U.S. to Spain and Argentina. Now based in Canada, I bring this eclectic mix of experiences into lessons—think lively discussions, cultural insights, and practical language hacks.
*Note:* I specialize in adult learners (B1+) and welcome students with disabilities (I have one too!). Let’s make learning flavorf
Moi en tant que professeur
I'm patient and kind. People learn best when the learning is fun, so I try to bring laughter and levity to my teaching style. Not everything has to be 100% serious to be useful!
When I taught university classes in journalism, my teaching was very highly rated and both the students and valued our time together.
Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
Do you like to travel? Do you like to talk about food? What about politics and public policy?
Or do you just want to chat about life and everyday things? What about podcasts? I'm happy to let you decide!
Or I can give you an article to read or a video to watch and we can talk about them. I'm happy to provide guidance and correction if you'd like, but I also want you to practice speaking more casually, maybe as if you were meeting your friend for a drink!
