Hello! I’m Ekaterina, a native Russian teacher with a PhD in Philology and over 20 years of teaching experience, including 18 years at Lomonosov Moscow State University. I teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners, and tailor every lesson to your individual goals: daily communication, business Russian, TORFL preparation, or reading literature in the original. My lessons are clear, structured, highly interactive, and always engaging, combining strong methodology with a creative, lively atmosphere and a good sense of humour that makes learning progress challenging but enjoyable.
I've been teaching Russian since 1998. For 18 years I was working for the Lomonosov Moscow State University. For the last 19 years I've been conducting individual lessons of Russian.
I teach Russian for different levels and proceed from individual needs and goals of my attendees:
- Russian from zero
- Russian to communicate in daily life situations
- business Russian and other professional goals (foreign affears etc)
- training for different TRFL tests
- holding TRFL tests
- teaching to read Russian literature in the original
In my work I use the best methodology proven by the Lomonosov Moscow State University and unique technics of my own. I use a lot of pictures and tables working with beginners. And I mostly proceed from original texts and video materials when I work with higher levels. Ekaterina was amazing ! The learning environment was fun, and dynamic. Today was our first lesson. She gave so much attention to detail in my lesson making sure that I understood the pronunciation of all words. This is so important in learning Russian. The first lesson we had today was well prepared and structured for my beginner's level. I love how she develops a personal learning plan for me as her student according to my language learning goals. She is the BEST teacher if you are serious about learning Russian fluently.
