I like simplicity and my main goal when teaching is to keep the learning fun and enjoyable for my student. You are learning a new language, it is a hard job, and I want you to feel good and comfortable during this journey ❀
➩ I am a certified English teacher from Cambridge (CELTA) and I teach English and French at home, but here online I decided to focus on my lovely native language : French ! I love making use of all the nice technics I have learnt to teach languages!Moi en tant que professeur
➤➤ For me, teaching does not mean that I possess all the knowledge and I just have to pass it on to get good results. It is also a matter of assisting and mentoring my student in his learning. That's why I would rather call my method "coaching" than "teaching".
I always adapt to your needs and expectations, and together we work in a positive environment so you can get more confident and truly improve your skills in whichever field you want :)

➤➤ I use a communicative approach
We always speak French as much as possible, and I use different technics to avoid basic translation and rather let you guess and understand by yourself any new word or language item. This way you get some brain gym, and it's easier to remember!
➤➤ I can give you exercises, teach you French grammar and explain the hard bits of it, coach you for your exams, and help you with pronunciation, reading or writing. I can also spend hours chatting and telling you a lot about myself and invite you to tell me about yourself, giving you time and confidence to make your sentences and truly speak French :)

Deborah is such a joy to have as my French tutor. For the first time, I’m putting away all the rules and formalities, and just trying to communicate. Deborah is patient and creates a safe environment to try language out. I’ve always felt self-conscious with the speaking part of language learning, but this is changing. 😊

I am running out of nice things to say in any language. She seems to have a gift for giving direction and guidance to a beginner student like myself. She has helped me to focus my efforts and Ivan see the improvement. Highly recommend.

Deborah is a wonderful conversation tutor. She knows how to offer corrections on pronunciation and grammar without disrupting the flow of a conversation and is excellent at helping build confidence. I really appreciated that she also sent an article for me to read before our lesson, as it was excellent for my vocabulary and reading skills, but also gave the lesson some direction.
