Taking a class with Yemi was very comfortable - i didn’t feel nervous or self-conscious like I have before in classes. Yemi was welcoming right away with a friendly smile, and I felt at ease. She has a patient teaching style, and gives space for you to think and take your time before answering. Very low pressure. What I really liked about class with Yemi was that the lesson was very active in terms of speaking and listening right away. She also explained situations with real life context from her life in Japan, which made the words & phrases very useful. I feel I ended the lesson with phrases I can actually use. I would definitely recommend Yemi to anyone wanting to learn Japanese and who may be too nervous to. Yemi is a great teacher. She also addressed my learning goals right away, and asked questions about what I would like to learn.
