Konnichiwa! I’m Yuka, a native Japanese teacher specializing in conversational and business Japanese. With 5+ years of teaching experience—and a background in HR—I help students speak confidently, whether for travel, work, or daily life. My 15 years of Kendo taught me discipline and patience, which I bring to every lesson. I also love exploring cultures through cooking (ask me for recipe tips!). Since 2019, I’ve been teaching Japanese both online and in-person, covering everything from everyday conversations to business discussions. My background in HR also allows me to help with formal business communication. I understand how challenging it can be to learn a new language—I’ve experienced it myself with English. Yuka is a great teacher. Her lessons are well structured and she is very patient and easy to understand in both English and Japanese. She can quickly adapt a lesson if I already learned some of it before hand, and does a good job reviewing previous lessons and tying them into the next.
