Lin is a fantastic teacher. She has a wide range of linguistic knowledge and speaks fluent English, giving her classes a comfortable and natural feel. She explains everything with clarity and patience. She spends time preparing before and after class, which also contributes to the class’s strong sense of organization and direction. She does not merely rely on the same old HSK curriculum, though she does use it effectively at the appropriate time. My career path requires me to know fluent Mandarin, so my choice of teacher is extremely important to me. Of all the teachers on the internet (I’ve tried many) I feel most confident with Lin guiding my Mandarin-acquisition journey. This is a very difficult language and you want to create the right habits early so that you don’t have to unlearn them later; consider your time with Lin as an investment in your future. I’m a Celta-certified former ESL teacher and I say with confidence that Lin is among the best language teachers that I’ve known

Lin is an excellent teacher. Her lesson was challenging, interesting and enjoyable. During the lesson she introduced me to new vocabulary, assisted me with proper grammar. Lin constantly reviews vocabulary, gives various sentences, improves your pronunciation, and explains complicated grammar so much better than anyone I've ever met. Her knowledge of English is incredible and that's why I think she can explain everything so very well. During the class, and also after class she is very attentive to you, you can tell that she has a lot of experience teaching. Other than that, she puts a lot of effort into the lesson and the preparation, Chinese with only textbooks can be a bit boring, but Lin’s style makes everything more enjoyable and fun. She is not only an excellent teacher, but probably one of the best Mandarin Chinese instructors on the italki platform. I am very fortunate to have found her. 谢谢老师！

Lin is amazing at explaining complex grammar. Thanks to her, I was able to understand grammar easily and correctly.

Class with Lin is always such a joy! I have had classes with her for 1 year now and I look forward to them every week. She is so reliable and prepared every lesson and makes the lesson fun. Anytime I need something translated in English, she is able to do it (her English level is amazing) but if I prefer we can also spend the whole class only speaking Chinese. I have learned so much from her and I look forward to taking her classes for many more years.

I appreciate that Lin spends time at the beginning of each lesson reviewing previous materials and having casual conversations with me in Chinese as a warm-up. This helps me feel more comfortable speaking Chinese.
