I had a lovely trial lesson with Aoi-sensei. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. She was very patient with me and the conversation flowed nicely. She corrected my mistakes and helped me with vocabulary and grammar in a way that encouraged the conversation so I came away from the lesson feeling more confident in my speaking. We covered goals for future lessons and she spoke at a speed and vocabulary level that was easy for me to understand without feeling patronising. She provided me with a list of vocabulary and grammar points at the end of the lesson so that I can practice my mistakes. I'm really looking forward to my next lesson with Aoi-sensei!

今日もありがとうございます。If you are looking for a Japanese language teacher, I highly recommend Aoi-san! I've been doing weekly lessons with her for three and a half months now and my Japanese has progressed so much. She is very patient, kind and funny. She sends me a list of vocabulary we talked about in the lesson as well as any mistakes that I made with the corrections so that I can learn from them. She is easily able to keep the conversation flowing and engaging. I look forward to speaking with her every single week. I recently bumped up the amount of lesson time because the time flies by so quickly! Thank you again Aoi-san! ❤❤

I was looking for a teacher just for conversation practice, which is a big area of weakness for me, and somehow, I came across Aoi-sensei here on iTalki. She is an excellent teacher! She is patient, fun, and interesting to talk to. While we're chatting, she puts new vocabulary or corrections on a spreadsheet so I can review it later, which is super helpful. I've learned a lot from her and hope to continue my Japanese learning journey with Aoi-sensei for a long time to come. Highly recommended!

Aoi is an excellent teacher! She's really good at explaining; it's detailed and clear. Even though we were out of time, she took the extra time to explain and made sure that I didn't leave the lesson with any unanswered questions. She's very patient and cheers you on, so you'll never feel discouraged! It feels more like you're having a conversation with a friend than a lesson, which I really enjoy!

It’s my second lesson with Aoi, I decided to contact her because I wanted to improve my Japanese speaking. Even though it is just the second lesson, it is so easy and fun to talk to her. She holds the conversation effortlessly and remembers a lot and built the conversation on it. In addition the creates a sheet with vocabulary that was important in the lesson or which I didn’t know and writes down mistakes that I did and how to do it right. It is very nice to look at it after class and check on it and realise unconscious mistakes but also it makes it very easy to add those phrases and vocabulary to your learning system. I booked already more lessons with Aoi and I am sure she can help me improve. I am looking forward to it! 🌸

Aoi先生 is the best! She’s SUPER kind and guides the conversation really well. I was extremely nervous going into it because I had never had a conversation in Japanese before, but she made me feel so comfortable! She was taking notes in real time and offering corrections when I needed them, and gave me a lesson plan to follow up with. Do yourself a favor and book a lesson with her!
