Great trial lesson, we talked about where my current level of Spanish was and what my goals are. She covered what her sessions are usually like, then we did a small example of what it would look like. Very friendly and helpful. I would recommend you book a lesson!

Lucy is a wonderful teacher: knowledgeable, engaging, and effective. Her knowledge of comparative grammar and vocabulary across many languages makes the lessons particularly helpful and interesting. I've had a few dozen Nahuatl lessons with her and am very happy with the results. The other day I watched a brief video in Nahuatl from the Univ. of Utah and understood everything the speaker said. We're at the point that we read stories in Nahuatl. Lucy can teach in English or Spanish. She has a wide range of teaching material depending on your interests.

The first class was awesome and I learned quite a bit. Insh'Allah, I look forward to the next class.

I can't recommend Lucy enough! I always have so much fun learning more Nahuatl with her!! She has the perfect balance of teaching/presenting aspects of the language (vocabulary grammar, etc) and letting you try to speak the language, whether it's through reading or encouraging you to answer questions using Nahuatl. She is always kind and patient, even when I ask for a review of certain grammar or vocabulary points more than once. She also shares cultural aspects of the language/the native speakers of the language, and offers comparisons between the different dialects (what changes/stays the same, etc). Overall, I have learned so much from her and I look forward to future lessons!! :)

Joined italki for the first time and my teacher Lucy was great on my first Trial lesson. I will be booking many more lessons with her. I’m excited to learn Nahuatl! 😃
