My name is Alisha. I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves traveling in search of new experiences. Learning something new about the world, especially different cultures, fascinates me. My dream is to see the world, and meeting people from different destinations is part of that dream. Until I reach that goal, I look forward to meeting students from various backgrounds who can teach me what they love about their culture through learning English online.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy listening to music, writing, hiking, photography, art, horseback riding, and reading, to name a few, for the list of my interests is ever-growing.

Learning is a process that never stops. As educators, our job is to facilitate learning as a guide. My philosophy as a teacher is to help guide students toward success and ensure they take full advantage of their unique skills and abilities. In a classroom, students learn best when they are relaxed, enjoying themselves, and engaging with meaningful and thoughtfully provided material based on their learning needs. Students will target goals while assessing weak areas, including grammar, pronunciation, writing, reading, and listening skills, and most importantly, while having fun in an engaging environment!

Master's in Fine Arts & Creative Writing - Southern New Hampshire University - 2023The MFA focused on content creation, marketing, trends, social media integration in business, and editing for businesses of all types. Additionally, a teaching certificate was included in the Master's degree program for teaching English to adults in business and working in a business setting.

IELTS Teacher Training Certification - Cambridge Learning - 2021This course trains teachers to be prepared for teaching IELTS test preparation to students. It covers the four tested areas: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking. Teachers who have completed this training have a better understanding of student needs and gauging student levels.

This degree has helped me learn how to teach grammar through writing and reading, while focusing on the educational development of my students needs. A strong teaching emphasis was placed so that students could continue their education as teachers or writers.

Master - Master's in Fine Arts & Creative WritingMy Master's in Fine Art and Create Writing (MFA) focuses on writing technique, general fiction writing, storytelling, and content writing. In addition, this MFA is combined with a higher-education teacher certificate to teach writing at the university-level. The MFA delved into blogging, content writing for business and social media, generalized fiction pertaining to character development, storytelling, genre studies, and culture.

Alisha is the most trustworthy tutor I have ever met. She helped me achieve a TOEFL score of 98, guiding me step-by-step from being a complete beginner in English to where I am now. Her support went beyond just preparing me for the exam; she played a crucial role in helping me gain admission to the graduate school I wanted.
I particularly struggled with writing. Back in China, the education system doesn’t focus much on English writing, so I was still at a very basic level.
