Gabriel Colipán

Gabriel is an incredibly generous, thoughtful, and funny tutor, and I give him my highest recommendation. We especially connected because we are both fiction writers, but I imagine that he is able to help and support any kind of person with their language goals. For me, I was looking to improve my understanding of Chilean Spanish in advance of a work conference, and to practice speaking with my colleagues. Gabriel did a great job identifying vocabulary and topics that would be useful to me, as well as answering the specific vocabulary and usage questions I would usually bring to our sessions. Don’t hesitate to book a class with Gabriel!

Had a great philosophical discussion which stretched my vocabulary and thinking in Spanish. Ahora tengo que pensar si el empatía es deber o derecho. :)

I would highly, highly recommend Gabriel if you’re looking to learn Spanish or need a conversation partner! He is incredibly professional, but also creative, patient, and playful, and very understanding of the differences between Spanish and English. I’m traveling to Chile and have really benefitted from working with him!

Gabriel is funny and interesting in class, and he asks great questions. He is raising my confidence, and the feedback has been really useful. I’m looking forward to more classes together : )

Gabriel is a very good instructor and is great at explaining concepts to me in a way I understand! And if I don’t understand immediately, he’ll find another way to explain! Ask him about his writing, he’s very creative !
