Hello, everyone! I am Elena. I am from Guangzhou, a city in south China.
My Chinese name is Jiaxian; I am a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese.
I have been working as a language school teacher in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English for over five years. I mainly teach international students. In the classroom, I teach the language and share cultural and historical knowledge.Moi en tant que professeur
I already have 5years of experience in online teaching, with certification to teach Chinese and English to adults and children. Also, I have completed IELTS teacher training courses with a certificate.
When I was in New Zealand for a working holiday a few years ago, I realized that learning their language is always the best way to know more about different cultures. That's why I want to help people who learn about the Chinese language and culture. We went through new material today. Whenever I didn't know the word for something, my teacher would always explain it to me and write down the character. My teacher would always ask me questions as usual to back up my understanding, and comment as we went through the reading exercises, making them feel lively.

After experiencing lessons with other teachers, I can confidently say that I REALLY enjoyed my second class with her! She made learning fun, and our lesson was well-structured yet flexible, allowing me to speak a lot without feeling lost or unsure of what to say. Talking to her felt so natural, almost like chatting with a friend. I’ll definitely be taking more classes with her!
