🌻 Kenya Sensei

Kenya is truly an amazing teacher. He is extremely friendly and kind, always encouraging, and seamless in how he gives feedback. The feedback (correcting sentence structure, grammar, or word choice, for instance) is either worked naturally into the conversation or he will update a shared Google doc during the conversation so that you can review afterward. Always patient and ready to swap stories (he lives a very exciting life!), he also always comes prepared and is purposeful about what you're learning and why) so that you're always improving and following a course of action that is relevant to you. We've known each other for years now because of Italki and I always look forward to our lessons. You will, too!

Another great lesson with Kenya Sensei! I feel like I've learnt so much more with his lessons than with any other course I've tried, and can finally understand how to structure a sentence! He's really easy going but comes so prepared and explains things in such a clear way that it's easy to make quick progress. Definitely recommend him as a great teacher!

I enjoyed my lessons with Kenya. He is very friendly, competent, and patient. We had conversations about various topics in a relaxed atmosphere. He helped me prepare for a trip to Japan and provided lots of helpful feedback. During the lessons he took notes about what we were talking about, which made it easy for me to review the lessons.

I’ve been having classes with Kenya せんせい for over 6 months now and I’m really happy I found him. Classes are extremely well prepared - you can tell that he put a lot of effort into preparing the sides and handouts. He’s also able to speak many languages, which creates some fun moments when comparing their differences. If what you want is to really learn japanese, then he’s your teacher!

Kenya Sensei is really friendly and encouraging! I was a bit nervous in the beginning since it was my first lesson, but sensei made it easy for me to express myself. He also made notes of expressions we went through in class, mistakes that I made and how to correct them at the end of the lesson.

Every lesson I am exponentially learning more and more things. Conversely, Kenya is learning more about me after every lesson. ChatGPT will never replace this experience.
