Hello, my name is Helena and I have a passion for teaching and learning. I love to meet new people and learn about new cultures. I always treat everyone with respect and aim to form a good connection to facilitate deeper learning and understanding. I've had many years of experience working in education. Being a primary school teacher taught me many skills, including being reliable, creative, fun, well organised, professional, hardworking, a good listener and understanding of others' needs. I've also studied academically for an MA in English Studies, so I understand the academic requirements. I also have a degree in Education, and I have worked in primary schools in the UK. I appreciate the importance of creativity, imagination, inquisitiveness, respect, wonder, playfulness, and individual development. I try to reflect on myself and develop to become a better person and a better teacher. I will tailor your lessons to meet YOUR needs, focusing on the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, including fluency, pronunciation and grammar. Whether your needs are to develop fluency and understanding through conversations or develop a more structured curriculum, I will form bespoke lesson plans to meet your needs. I'm good with children and I understand what they need and how best they learn (having 2 of my own!) For children, it's best to book a shorter lesson of 30 min and more often. It may be helpful for your child if the parent is in the room during the lesson...

Helena has been teaching my 9-year-old son for almost six months now. In the beginning, the son was often distracted, he could read, but could not speak in sentences. Now he focuses on the lesson, he often tries to repeat the studied phrases at home. He really likes lessons. Helena is friendly, funny, she explains new material with examples, corrects pronunciation. We are so glad to have found such a great English teacher :)

Mój 7-letni syn bardzo lubi zajęcia z nauczycielką i zawsze z niecierpliwością na nie czeka. Lekcje są ciekawe i dopasowane do jego wieku, dzięki czemu jest zmotywowany do nauki. Zajęcia pomagają mu nie tylko w nauce angielskiego, ale także w czytaniu i pisaniu. Nauczycielka ma świetne podejście do dzieci – jest cierpliwa, serdeczna i potrafi zainteresować ucznia nauką. Bardzo miła osoba z podejściem do dzieci. Zajęcia podobały się 4letniej córce, choć to trudne żeby utrzymać uwagę takiego małego dziecka.
