Hi, I’m Salvador from California—a language lover and cultural explorer! Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, I’m also learning Tagalog, and Egyptian Arabic. When I’m not at the gym or with my plants, I’m reading history or planning trips. For me, languages connect hearts. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, along with minors in Spanish and French. During my time in Hawaiʻi, I had the opportunity to study multiple languages—including Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Hawaiian—which strengthened my passion for multilingualism and cultural understanding. I later completed a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction from San José State University. I have teaching experience across a wide range of grade levels, from Transitional Kindergarten (ages 3–4) through 9th grade, and I enjoy helping students build confidence and proficiency in language learning.
I incorporate visuals intentionally to support comprehension and engagement in my teaching. Having taught in a Spanish Immersion program and with English language learners, I have seen how visual supports can make language accessible for all learners. Elevate Math Summer School TeacherI have taught 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade level math for a summer school program called "Elevate Math in the silicon valley. This program helps students reach a level of math needed for the academic school year needed during the summer. I taught students different math strategies in order to help them understand the basic concepts of math.
