Hello, my name is Thomas and I'm from San Diego, California. I have been teaching English for two years and I have students from all over the world. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and a certificate in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Oregon. I have a deep love for learning, teaching, and talking about languages so I understand what it is like to learn a different language! I like traveling, philosophy, reading sci-fi, current events, learning new languages, and running. I am excited to meet you and help you reach fluency!

I've taught on italki for 2 years and I have students from all over the world. I know every student is different, so finding what you want to do with English is important. Being engaged and motivated are the most important parts of learning a language and I want to make my students feel comfortable and confident. I speak with a Standard American English accent.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

My philosophy is you learn language by using and interacting with it. Therefore, I usually spend the first half of the lesson with conversation and then the other half with homework review. I use google docs for notes, corrections, and homework. I can teach test preparation, job interviews, pronunciation training, travel, fluency, grammar, or whatever you like! I also have a lot of materials for any topic.
