Hi! I’m Oriana, an Italian teacher based in Palma de Mallorca since 2017. I hold a degree in Philosophy and I collaborate with a philosophy and volunteering school, working in social and cultural projects. I’ve lived in Sweden and Lithuania, and I see online teaching as a way of traveling through people and cultures. I am a certified Italian teacher for foreigners, with experience in online and in-person lessons. My students appreciate my flexibility and focus on their goals. I use a communicative and inductive approach, guiding students to discover grammar through practice. Each lesson is tailored to your needs and based on the use of authentic materials and targeted exercises. I'm a certified Italian teacher for foreigners and I started with private lessons both online and in presence. So far, my students have expressed satisfaction about my lessons, because I'm flexible in my schedule and very focused on their goals. In my lessons, I follow an inductive methodology, which means that, as a guide in the learning process of the students, I help them to discover by themselves the rules that govern the various linguistic aspects. I think that this methodology is much more effective than other more traditional methods, since it allows better internalize what has been learned. VolunteerNational Institute for Social Integration - Vilnius, LituanieThe project I was involved in was called "Media for change" and it had the goal to fight against discrimination and the hate speech online. I was in charge of managing the social media and the web page of the NGO, recruiting news about minorities, integration policies, discrimination and hate speech. I also organized an international youth exchange called "Reporting diversity: an ethical representation of migrants and minorities".

2013 - 2015

JournalistQuotidiano di Sicilia - Catania, ItalieMy job was verifying, selecting and organizing the news to publish in the newspaper. I was also in charge of editing the articles sent by the freelancers and of making my own investigations.

2017 - 2018

Pr and communication managerHundredrooms - Palma de Mallorca, EspagneHundredrooms was a meta-search engine of touristic apartments. Here I had several tasks, such as creating press releases about the company, sending them to press and institutions, recruiting new contacts, organizing events. All of that with the aim to promote Hundredrooms. The job required high organization skills, because I had to divide my time between the different tasks.

Marketing ManagerLogitravel - Palma de Mallorca, EspagneI'm responsible for the Italian market and I manage all possible media to promote the company, such as social media, SEO, SEM, Display campaigns, SMS, mailing marketing. I constantly monitor the results in order to improve the campaigns' performances, if necessary.
