Jordan De Bono

I just started my 2nd year of learning Maltese and though the language is really challenging at times, I've enjoyed learning it, especially with an exceptional teacher like Jordan. I've come so far since the first lesson when all I knew was 'grazzi ħafna' and I can't wait to see how much further I'll be able to progress over the next year (and the years beyond that, too). I'm so glad that I met Jordan and that he continues to want to share this lovely language with anyone interested in it.

I thank Jordan for his patience, inspiration, professional and humane approach on the way to improving my English. Based on my own experience, I recommend Jordan as an excellent lecturer. I have been working with him since July 2022 and I can already see the first steps of improvement.

彼のレッスンの内容、教材、宿題は英語力向上のために大変役に立ちます。特に日本人にとっては、以下の２点から彼のレッスンはお勧めです。①彼は日本在住であり、レッスンの時間帯が合わせやすいこと②彼は日本語も堪能なため、初心者であっても、問題なくコミュニケーションが取れること。英語学習ではありませんが、彼は、東京のおいしいマルタ料理のレストランやマルタのイベントを紹介してくれます。ちなみに、彼が紹介してくれたマルタ料理のレストランは、大変美味しく、私のお気に入りのレストランの一つになりました。

This class accompanies my purchase of Jordan’s self-study Maltese course. He provided all materials including his update and revision of a textbook which he has augmented quite diligently in addition to revising. He includes exercises for the textbook plus audio recordings of chapter texts and vocabulary lists, YouTube videos with explanation pertinent to each chapter and supplemental grammar, and a wealth of other materials/exercises. Though my class was this morning, I have completed part of the first lesson so that I could give a more complete first impression of the course, which is: Jordan has created a thoughtful, professional, and comprehensive set of materials that do comprise a true, high-quality, self-study course to get students started with Maltese from through the A2-level; I look forward to continuing with daily practice and will book lessons with him in the future to begin conversation practice and revision of what I have learned through this course.
