I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and have experience teaching Javanese and Indonesian, both online and in person. My teaching philosophy centres on creating an engaging learning environment for my students. I believe that learning a new language should be enjoyable, so I make my lessons as interactive and dynamic as possible. My focus is on improving students' conversational skills. This is what you can expect from my classes: I encourage students to speak. I expect students to be prepared to speak in class. You can either bring your own topic to practise your speaking skills or I can decide the topic for you. We will then develop the conversation and observe your progress. I won't lecture you on grammar, but I will correct any unnatural or incorrect words or expressions you use. I will provide you with notes on what we learn in class so that you can review them later. I have been taking lessons from Mas Cahyo for a year now and I am very satisfied. I am now more confident with my Javanese language.
We always have fun during the lessons. Mas Cahyo always uses the Javanese language even though I sometimes speak in English. JEMPOL 👍

I am very happy with my first lesson with Cahyo. Although I am not a total beginner I felt I learned a lot in just one lesson. He is very calm and friendly and he put me at ease. He is very knowledgeable and I can tell that he has a passion for his language which he told me he has studied in depth at university level. He explained the expressions and the grammar in a simple way without over-emphasizing in details. Very good teacher overall!
