Hi there, I am Natalie. I come from Beijing, China and I’m currently a second year under-graduate student studying finance at Lancaster university in the UK. I was born in Beijing and lived here for over 20 years so I speak fluent and standard mandarin. I also lived and studied in the UK for 3 years.

I helped my British friends learn mandarin and Chinese culture and then I felt like it was such a happy thing to teach and help others, so I decided to become a community tutor on italki.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

I fully understand how difficult and how much of a struggle learning a new language is so I would love to help. And I think the best way to practice and improve is to talk to native speakers, so my lessons will be mainly using mandarin but I can also explain in English if you find it hard to understand. And the topic in our lessons will be based on your preference and needs. Finally, I think I’m a very friendly and easy going person and I’m always willing to help, so please feel free to talk to me and ask me anything you don’t know about the language. I really enjoyed this first lesson with Natalie. We broke the ice first then had the chance to talk and raise several topics and discuss them. Her accent is very clear and she was also friendly and willing to encourage me to keep learning and improving
