I am teaching Latin and Greek at all levels (including exam preparation). While living in Russia, I taught English as a foreign language at all levels for nearly five years in a language school, using both standard and my own materials. I am still in touch with some of my students, and am interested in each of them as individuals. I have a good understanding of grammar and can explain finer points of language if required. I also enjoy introducing people to new ideas and points of view, including through language teaching and by introducing them to different cultures, and discussing their thoughts and reactions from their various perspectives.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
I hope to focus my teaching around your areas of interest.
In the first meeting we will discuss what most interests you, the kind of books you are interested in reading, exams you are preparing for, or other aspects of the language that interest you.
If you are a beginner, we will use a mix of traditional and modern ways of learning words and grammar.
If you are more advanced, we will progress to translating and discussing first shorter, and then longer texts, learning advanced grammar, and discussing the literary qualities and context of the texts we are reading.

Deliya is a wonderful teacher! Very knowledgeable, human and encouraging, with an admirable sense of humour and deep dedication to the texts and exercises we work through. It's really "refreshing" studying with her.
