Today, we talked about the different characteristics of ideal jobs, a lesson focused on speaking that was prepared for me because I requested a little more emphasis on speaking than the traditional textbooks give. I'm thankful that Mijin has been customizing my lessons and helping me every step of the way!

This was our first class. It was for TOPIK prep. First, we did free talk and she asked questions to learn about me and my experience and goals and motivations. Then, we moved into a structured TOPIK prep lesson. She explained unknown vocabulary in Korean and using charades, which I like. She also made sure to teach me the collocations for new vocabulary - a very valuable strategy. She was patient and friendly. I will definitely take another class!

She is really nice and very well prepared. I really look forward to keep learning with Minji teacher.

Today we reviewed how to compare two subjects using 부다, and then learned how to use 제일 and 중에서 to express preferences within groups. My 선생님 continues to be helpful and encouraging, even when I forget basic grammar principles and misspell words. I'm finally at a point where I can have basic conversations and I honestly never thought I could get to this point in my learning. I've tried many different ways of learning Korean, but have found that having a solid private tutor has helped me grow exponentially and kept me accountable in my Korean language journey. I've grown so much over the course of a few months and would highly recommend her to anyone who is new to learning Korean!

I really like Mijin 선생님! She is very patient with me despite many mistakes, and I can feel the improvement in my skill as I do lessons with her.

I have been attending lessons with Mijin 선생님 for almost a year, and during that time, my confidence has come so far! Mijin is really patient and always understands what you are trying to convey, she is able to break down complicated concepts and explains them in an easy to understand way. I've been learning Korean for around 5 years and have been frustratingly stuck in a plateau for a while. However, since learning with Mijin, I have come such a long way in my speaking and understanding! I highly recommend Mijin's class if you are stuck in that intermediate plateau. 😊
