I've taken Naoya-san's lessons for the past several weeks, and he is always flexible as to the contents and style of teaching and happy to answer language questions from a Japanese language teacher and a native speaker's perspective. My first experience with my italki teacher was a 30-minute Japanese lesson, and it surpassed my expectations. Naoya-san was fun and easy to talk to, while also being very patient and taking moments to teach. He speaks in a way that is clear and understandable to the students level, while also providing time to think and gently correct mistakes.

After I got to tell Naoya Sensei about my sister's wedding, we talked about weather and seasons. It was an interesting discussion, and I feel it all flowed really well. I have a tendency to be a bit slow and shaky in my delivery at times, but Naoya Sensei always speaks at a level I can understand. It seems he even tries to match my pace too, which makes it easier to process what he is saying and form my responses.
