Hello & welcome! I'm Mindy from Los Angeles—an architect, writer, and accent-certified English teacher.
Languages, travel, and words are my passion: I'm a world-traveler who's been to 45 countries and all 50 U.S. states, and I've learned French 🇫🇷, Italian 🇮🇹, and Spanish 🇲🇽 to a conversational level while dabbling in a dozen others, so my teaching is founded in both pedagogy and very personal experience as a student and teacher of languages. I'm specialized in (and quite passionate about) American English accent training... or maybe I've just spent too much time in Hollywood 😄

My goal is to help you feel confident and powerful when you speak English. I'm professionally certified both as a teacher and as an American accent coach, but more importantly than that—I'm a language learner too. I've taken classes on Italki sitting on your side of the screen. I've struggled with pronouncing foreign sounds; I've streamlined learning techniques; I've studied the science of studying languages. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience of all the things that have helped me, and now I'm ready to use it helping you!

Teaching Experience - VIPKID - 2022This is to prove my extensive ESL teaching experience with children. The attached document consists of two parts: (1) verification of my status as a teacher contracted with the VIPKID platform teaching English online to students in China from 2019-2022, and (2) statistics showing my overall experience teaching 2804 classes to 1258 students during that time period. Before booking classes with Mindy, I didn't know if I would be able to learn American Accent in depth. As a teacher myself, I would say that not only she is an amazing teacher but her dedication is beyond amazing. If your goal is to improve your English then don't wait and book classes with her and you'll feel accomplished.
