I have been learning with Kanako Sensei for the last 6 months, starting from zero. My experience with Kanako has been excellent and I would highly recommend her to anyone that wants to learn Japanese in a fun, effective and personable way. She's been extremely attentive to my needs and pace, and very responsive to any questions, challenges and interests that I have. We have been using Genki as a guideline, but we often focus on specific topics that interest me, or go back to areas where I want to dive deeper. I now feel confident enough to have some conversations here in Japan, and everything that I have learned has always been contextualised with where I live and what I do, which makes it so much easier on my day to day life in Japan. It has been a great journey, and I am very grateful to have found such a wonderful teacher!

Kanako is such a wonderful teacher! She's always willing to spend some time making sure that you understand. Her personality is so kind which makes learning from her easy! She loves to just learn about you in a lovely and genuine way. Each lesson is well thought out and paced well too. Kanako also sends personalized feedback after each lesson which helps reinforce what was learned and what was missed. If you take lessons from her you won't regret your decision. I'm beyond glad that I chose her as my tutor and I am always excited for the next lesson.

Kanako san is absolutely the best teacher ever. You can tell she comes very prepared for each lesson which just inspires you to work harder for every lesson, knowing that she is working just as hard as you to make your goals come true.
