I had been learning Japanese on my own so far but got stuck because the grammar became hard to remember. Kousuke先生 has been very good at filling in the existing gaps and progressing my learning, regardless of the chapters from Genki - we go through the textbook depending on what he notices I need to work on. This is really helpful, especially since I picked up bad habits through not practising with others. He is also patient, corrects all my mistakes so I'm confident that I can form better sentences over time, and he is happy to answer any of my questions, whether it's "what sounds more natural" or "how would I say this".

I've been studying Japanese intensively with Kosuke-san for the past four months, and I couldn't be happier with the progress I've made. Under his guidance, I successfully completed Genki 1, a milestone I'm incredibly proud of. Kosuke-san is an exceptional teacher whose expertise and dedication have been instrumental in my language journey. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn Japanese.

Kosuke-san has helped me immensely through Genki I these past 3 months. I struggled a lot with studying myself and figuring out a path to learn but Kosuke-san helped make everything very clear and giving me clear direction, as well as an intense understanding of the material. Every session we do some conversation practice, then go over homework, and then work through the textbook. I have been able to sufficiently get through a year of Japanese courses in just 3 months thanks to Kosuke's fantastic teaching and assistance. He helps with native conversational tips, pronunciation, common mistakes, and overall has been an amazing teacher through the textbook. I understand Japanese so much better than I did before and can speak and read it so well thanks to his help. Kosuke-san is very understanding of any mistakes or struggles I encounter and helps me through them excellently. Overall Kosuke-san has helped my Japanese learning reach college level and been an immensely valuable support.

Kosuke Sensei is great! We just started Genki 2. He is patient with me when I need help understanding a lesson and is great at explaining each of the lessons in Genki 1 and 2. He does a great Job of coming up with questions in addition to the Genki textbook to help further study each of the concepts. I have been studying with him once a week for about six months. He has been exactly on time and fully present for all of those lessons. He has also been really great about figuring out when I need additional time with a lesson before moving on to the next one. I highly recommend Kosuke sensei.

I had a great time with Kousuke! They are incredibly encouraging and patient. Both times we’ve had fun, engaging conversations to review fundamental grammar points and hone my speaking skills. I look forward to many more lessons!
