TESOL Certified English teacher, chemistry teacher, and pharmacist specializing in scientific vocab My name is Melissa and I am a certified English teacher from southern California in the United States. I am a native English speaker and speak with a neutral American accent. I am a TESOL certified teacher and have taught over 800 lessons on italki with a 5-star rating. I also host a podcast which teaches English in context to non-native speakers. I love working with students and helping them improve their English. In addition, I have an undergraduate degree in biology, a doctorate of pharmacy, and a teaching credential in science. I worked as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital and have been teaching chemistry for the past seven years so I have a strong background in science. Because of my background, I have a highly specialized science and medical vocabulary. I help science professionals achieve their goals by improving their professional level of English. I also work with students who have an intermediate to advanced level of English to improve their fluency and command of the language. I enjoy helping students improve their English. My classrooms are always a space where you can feel comfortable so you can best learn the material. I'm a very patient and friendly person, and I know the struggles of learning a language. Melissa is a very friendly and patient teacher who makes me feel very comfortable to practice my conversation. I don't need to worried about my mistake because she will help me to correct my vocabulary.
