Maité

Maité is an amazing teacher. Over the course of several trips to South America I memorized some Spanish and could get by in restaurants, hotels, taxis, etc. Especially if I only needed present tense! Unfortunately I was unable to have enjoyable conversations with the many interesting people I met. My knowledge was random and shallow. Maités’ classes have brought structure to my Spanish knowledge, so that I am actually learning it and not just memorizing it. She is a student of other languages and understands full well the challenges involved in learning new languages. She has taught a lot of Spanish to English speakers and knows what our main language challenges are and knows how to help us work through them. Maité is patient with my learning speed. In addition to already knowing more Spanish than I did a few short weeks ago, the classes have been thoroughly enjoyable, and I always look forward to the next ones.

I have had the pleasure of learning Spanish with Maite, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Maite is not only considerate but also highly adaptable to my learning style. She understands that everyone learns differently and tailors her lessons to suit my needs perfectly. I use the lessons mainly to practice conversation and correct pronunciation. It's the perfect opportunity for me to practice speaking and improve my fluency. Her patience and encouragement make me feel comfortable expressing myself, even when I make mistakes. Overall, I highly recommend Maite as a Spanish teacher. Learning with Maité is varied and stimulating, she engages with my own interests and supports my goals, yet also opens a window for me into Argentine culture. She creates a relaxed and non-judgmental setting for me to speak and understand Spanish. Having Maité as my teacher has made a huge difference in my confidence and skills.

Maité is an excellent teacher and is evidently very passionate about what she does. I have ahead a few advanced conversation lessons with her and the impact she has had on the flow of my Spanish speaking skills is already noticeable. She is patient and allows you to try and use the language effectively and efficiently, offering advice and input whenever needed. I would highly recommend her to anybody from the absolute beginner level all the way to near fluency.
