Qualified British teacher with 20 years of experience and all your mistakes typed for correction Been a teacher all my life: here in the UK, abroad (France, Italy, India) and online now for about five years. I've been a language learner just as long which, I think, helps me to teach English as a foreign language in turn. I studied business at university and have taught English in companies as well as schools. I love skiing, reading, music, travelling and getting to know new people and cultures. I'm a qualified British English teacher who taught in schools abroad and in the UK until about 5 years ago when I switched to online. I very much enjoy my job and the exchange I have with students who often come to seem like friends. My teaching style is friendly and revolves around speaking because a language must be used if it is to be learnt. However, I also believe in helping students to speak better as well as faster, and that by making them aware of their mistakes, I am showing them how to improve. I try to maintain a level of difficulty that is stimulating and useful for progress, but not discouraging. And I prefer an "organic" method of teaching, where we address issues that arise in conversation, rather than textbook-based programmes. But most of all, I'm there to help each student achieve their goals in whichever way works best for them.

The most brilliant teacher I've ever had. Very straight to the point, very professional, focused on making progress. The lessons are very extensive and might be exhaustive (in a good way, like at the gym), but if you care about the progress you can't have better than Paul. Strongly recommended! I've been in your shoes at some point and I know that the lessons are expensive, but it's worth it. You definitely don't need more than a lesson a week so it might be even less pricey than other teachers. With one lesson a week you'd definitely have as much (or more) material to cover from Paul as with any other teacher. Just go for it!
