Today we spoke about padel. I is a fast growing sport in the netherlands. But it doesn't seem popular in Japan. We also spoke about having bad eye sight and wearing glasses since I was a baby. But also about contact lenses and lasic surgery. Lot's of complicated theme's, but thanks to the lessons I have learned how to speak about these things. Thank you lisa sensei! :-) I am already looking forward to the next lesson! :-D

Today we spoke about the yearly light art festival that I visited. It is interesting to see new pieces of art every year. We than had a brief conversation about the police and dutch football hooligans. We else end up talking about weird culture phenomena like that haha. We also spoke about Japanese sports day at school. it was interesting to see the pictures. We also spoke about the recent bear attacks in the countryside. Bears are interesting animals, but also very dangerous. I'm already looking forward to next weeks lesson :-)

Today we spoke about dialects. It was interesting to compare different Japanese dialects. because japan is a very stretched out country people in the north and south have different ways of pronunciation, which makes it hard for non native speakers to understand. but people usually switch to standard language when they don't understand each other.

Today we spoke about my check up at the hospital. It is interesting that Japanese uses some old dutch words for medicine and other sciences because we have a long shared history. we also spoke about the mizuhiki pop up event that I attended, It is a japanese art form that isn't as well known as origami or ikebana, but it was interesting. Lisa sensei told me about the 100 yen shops in her hometown. It is interesting what they sell for that price! I'm already looking forward to next weeks lesson! :-)

Today we spoke about a hindustani festival I attended. there was a lot of good food and fireworks, so it was a lot of fun. We then ended up speaking about immigration and what the biggest ethnical groups are within The Netherlands, but also in Japan. It was interesting to compare and see what the benefits of immigration, but also the downsides are.

Today we continued our conversation about Lisa sensei's trip to Vietnam. It was interesting to see the cafe's in an old building, it looked like the windows didn't have glass in it. Maybe, one day, when I have seen all of Japan I will go to Vietnam! :-)
