I have a 4 week trip to Japan coming up, and wanted to level up from the usual hello/thank you basics to richer phrases and sentences that would be useful on the trip. The set 10-lesson travel basics course was exactly what I was hoping for. Eri went through essentials including ordering at a restaurant, shopping in a store, counting money, and asking for directions at a level that was suitable for someone with no background in Japanese. Eri drilled practice conversations to build confidence speaking and forming simple sentences. Eri was also careful to teach pauses and filler sounds to sound much more natural in Japanese. She also shared pdfs of the lessons so that I could review between classes and after our courses were done. The fixed course was exactly what I was hoping for, and Eri is first on my list as a Japanese teacher if I come back from my trip wanting to achieve conversational fluency in Japanese. Eri has helped me after not practicing Japanese for a few months. She encouraged me with materials which were tailored to my specific needs and I left the lesson feeling more confident in my speaking ability. What's more, Eri provided me with materials for my own self study. I instantly feel better and want to learn more when I take lessons with Eri. Highly recommended! :)

It was So nice to connect again! I have been learning from and practicing with Eri-sensei for several years now. She is Amazing!! So kind, genuine, and encouraging. Learning Japanese is an interesting process, sometimes I feel like I'm doing great, and other times I feel like I'm still such a beginner. LOL. She is always encouraging and keeps me going. I really enjoy our chats. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, I highly recommend Eri-sensei :)

Eri-sensei is always incredibly kind, supportive, and encouraging throughout our lessons, and very much loves to give challenges. The times when I struggle to make out sentences, she would always make sure that by the end of it I am able to recreate them correctly. And when she introduces new vocabulary, she would make me try to guess their meaning rather than telling them to me directly. These kinds of challenges are what make us language learners develop our skills and actually retain the things that we learn, and the fact that Eri-sensei always sees to it that we do not leave without having learned something new is what makes her a fantastic teacher. I highly recommend taking her lessons!
